Why We Cannot Predict Everything

April 9, 2010

Climate scientists tell us that the science is settled.  They tell us that the models are sound.  They tell us that C02 will retain heat as it increases without ever reaching a saturation point.

This BBC article shows us very clearly that mankind simply does not know everything:

“First oxygen-free animals found”

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/sci/tech/8609246.stm

Scientists have found a previously unknown species in the Mediterranean that survives WITHOUT OXYGEN.

Who could have predicted a creature on this planet that was built to survive without oxygen?   Absolutely nobody!

“”We did not think we could find any animal living there. We are talking about extreme conditions – full of salt, with no oxygen.”

Ah, but when it comes to understanding the interactions that create our climate, we know it all, apparently.

I call it arrogance.
